5 out of 5 stars Love Dual Purpose!!   March 2, 2007

I have been working as a licensed massage therapist for 5 years, I was introduced to this product while in school, and I feel it is one of the best products available. Its consistency is excellent for general massage as well as deeper work. I especially love how it melts like butter! It starts as a white cream, and with the warmth of your hands as you rub them together it changes to a clear almost-oil-like consistency. The scent is very subtle and I have even incorporated some light aromatherapy with it. Try it - you won't be sorry!

5 out of 5 stars Yet to find fault.   February 15, 2009

I'm a fitness freak that's currently taking a class for Personal Training certification. I've had a bad habit of pushing myself hard over the years. Last year I started going to a very good massage therapist and advisor who happens to use Biotone Dual Purpose Creme on me. It has a light odor that's pleasant and has a slightly greasy/oily quality for gliding purposes. I thought it might stain my clothes, but nope, it does not. Unlike another reviewer, it's yet to be near my tongue and I recommend this product.

5 out of 5 stars Biotone is the best!   March 20, 2009

I've been using Biotone Dual Purpose cream for as long as i've been in body-work (almost 18 years). For the kind of work i specialize in, it's ideal -- providing enough glide when/if i need it, but never too slippery, provided i don't apply too much. ;o) The scent is always fresh and clean, and the 1/2 gallon i buy every year lasts an entire 12 months for me...sometimes longer (i do mostly myofascial and NMTherapy, which often doesn't use any lube). I'm sure i'll be using this product until i retire...in about 4 years.

A really convenient size pack. One concern that I had was the shipping and whether the item would arrive intact. There was no need to fear as everything arrived on time and no damages. I bought it from Amazon as it was less expensive than general and convenient although the price has gone up since then.

5 out of 5 stars Great Massage Cream   May 28, 2010

I love this stuff. I was introduced to it as part of a physical therapy regimen for my hand, after recovering from complicated surgery and tendon repair on my index finger. I've found this cream to be excellent. Although I do agree with the reviewer who said that the smell is a bit like talc, I have used it to massage my injured hand to reduce scar tissue, and also on sore muscles other places in my body after workouts, so the somewhat medical scent doesn't bother me. That said, I probably wouldn't use it for a romantic massage with my boyfriend, because the smell does remind me of the doctor/physical therapist's office-- it has a utilitarian quality.

Biotone stays slippery without feeling oily, and is very slow to absorb into the skin, so I don't need to reapply it much when I use it. But when I do want to remove it, it comes off easily with just a dry towel or soap and water. Also, a little goes a very long way. I have the 14oz size, and I use it every day, several times a day. Given how far just a tiny dab goes, I probably won't have to buy more of this wonderful product for many months.
